Doctors in Training Recruitment Campaign 2027 – Clinical Haematology Registrar

Department of Health – Hospitals & Primary Care, Southern Tasmania. Location: Royal Hobart Hospital, South Region.

Employment type: Fixed-term, full-time. Period of employment: 1 February 2027 – 7 February 2028.

Salary: $138,978 to $194,675 per annum (Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award/Agreement 2025, Level 5-11).

Key Responsibilities

• Day‑to‑day management of public inpatients and outpatients within the department.
• Provide on‑call cover for the unit and infrequent after‑hours emergency cover at the hospital.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Register or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Current Tasmanian Working with Children registration (where applicable).
• Completed medical training to the level required for a registrar or senior registrar.
