Description

Workshop Technician

The Workshop Technician is responsible for the provision of the safe, efficient and compliant mechanical and/or electrical, diagnostic, repair, maintenance and component replacement services to the Division's customer base.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect products and/or materials for conformity
  • Request required spare parts
  • Operate workshop equipment
  • Operation of relevant lifting equipment
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and manuals
  • Maintain, overhaul and test electrical/electronic equipment
  • Lubrication of electrical equipment
  • Diagnostic analysis on electrical systems
  • Running adjustments to plant and equipment
  • Repair Vehicle/Plant Electrical Components
  • Perform modifications to wiring looms and electrical components
  • Machine armatures and ream bushes to fit shafts
  • Strip, clean, lubricate and paint repaired items

About you

Essential

  • Certificate III Mobile Plant Technology
  • Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical)
  • Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical) Diesel Fitter
  • Certificate III Engineering (Fabrication)

Desirable

  • Large excavator/haul truck experience
  • High Risk Licenses; LF, DG, EWP
  • Working at Heights certificate
