Birch Care is looking for energetic, caring, and enthusiastic people to join our company. We are currently recruiting for an Occupational Therapist to work across the South Australia, Gold Coast, Tweed Heads, Logan, Beenleigh, Ipswich, Brisbane and Beaudesert regions with an immediate start!
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will provide evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions to people living with disabilities. You will support participants to develop independence, improve functional capacity, and achieve meaningful outcomes in line with their NDIS goals.
You will deliver person-centred services and build positive, professional relationships with participants, families, carers and support networks.
About You
- 1+ years' experience delivering person-centred NDIS services (desirable).
- Occupational Therapist with current AHPRA registration.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check and Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle (vehicle reimbursement provided).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Tasks & Responsibilities
- Support participants to achieve their NDIS goals and improve independence.
- Conduct functional capacity assessments and occupational therapy assessments.
- Develop person-centred therapy plans and intervention strategies.
- Complete home, community and workplace assessments.
- Recommend assistive technology and equipment solutions.
- Provide sensory, emotional regulation and daily living skill supports.
- Complete comprehensive reports for NDIS funding reviews and plan reassessments.
- Liaise with families, support coordinators, support workers and other allied health professionals.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participant records.
- Deliver therapy services in home, community, school and clinic environments where required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with people living with disabilities (preferred).
- Experience supporting participants with Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual disability, psychosocial disability and complex support needs (desirable).
- Understanding of NDIS legislation and participant-centred practice.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Mandatory Requirements
- Current AHPRA Registration.
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Police Check (not older than 6 months).
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
- If applicable, evidence of compliance with Public Health Orders in force at the time.
