Our Opportunity

Work Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: 8 Days On / 6 Days Off – Days Only.

We are expanding our Trade training team and building a new Perth training facility in the design stage. With our green energy targets a major focus, we are looking to conduct accredited TAFE Training in Cert III Industrial Electrician MEM31219 to apprentices and pre‑apprentices, and develop, validate, and moderate Training Assessment Plans, Training Assessment Strategies, and learning/resource material.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the day‑to‑day operations of the Trade Training Centre, including reviewing and updating processes/procedures and maintaining the facility.
  • Designing, developing, validating, and moderating Training Assessment Plans (TAP), Training Assessment Strategies (TAS), assessment and learning/resource materials for current and future qualifications.
  • Ensuring the Training Delivery Schedule is available at least 12 months before training starts and approved by the Superintendent Trade Apprenticeships, detailing what is delivered and the attendees.
  • Assisting in the delivery of comprehensive workshop and apprenticeship/pre‑apprenticeship inductions, familiarisations, and professional development trade‑relevant courses to internal tradespersons within Fortescue.
  • Undertaking audits and safety processes as required.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Licensed Trade Qualified Electrician with experience training MEM31219 Industrial Electrician.
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE40116) and Forklift licence.
  • Proven experience in a similar level position within a fast‑paced dynamic environment.
  • Experience developing and delivering accredited training and operating in accordance with the TAC/RTO framework.
  • Experience managing training workshops, supervising and mentoring teams of 10 or more.
  • Exposure to battery electric technologies (highly desirable).
  • RTO experience or having worked for an RTO.
