About the Role
We are looking for an Underwriter to join our motivated underwriting team in Melbourne. This role will see the management of a portfolio of clients across various industries whilst working effectively with the team to accomplish agreed underwriting goals.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and communicating quotations, bindings, policy conditions and mid-term adjustments.
- Negotiating rates/terms with brokers.
- Following up on offers of quotations/renewals.
- Updating reporting systems.
- Development and maintenance of broker relationships, including visitations to client offices which may include interstate travel and presentations.
- Answering broker enquiries.
Qualifications
- Experience in General Liability Underwriting.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Deep understanding of various industries and market risk awareness.
