Safety and Compliance Advisor – EHST Team (Forrestfield Office)

Boart Longyear is seeking an experienced Safety and Compliance Advisor to join our EHST team in the Forrestfield office. This role focuses on internal and external compliance, risk mitigation, data analysis, safety culture promotion, and change management in line with company policies and WHS legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and ensure internal & external compliance, mitigating risk for EHST Australia.
  • Capture, develop, and analyze data and documents to inform business of risk‑management opportunities, focusing on compliance with company policy and WHS legislation.
  • Encourage active participation in a positive safety culture and drive strategies that promote performance improvement.
  • Build strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders, both externally and internally.
  • Manage change, influence, coach, and provide direction to leaders and teams to ensure EHST outcomes and objectives are achieved.
  • Live and demonstrate Boart Longyear values.
  • Conduct deep dives into EHST data and documents to assess current compliance with governing bodies and BLY standards.
  • Assist in EHST reporting and focal areas for global, regional, and operational teams.
  • Work with leaders to develop plans for opportunities for improvement and implement change through the Boart Longyear Management of Change (MoC) process.

Qualifications

  • Five years relevant work experience in EHST and/or compliance, auditing.
  • Tertiary education in Occupational Health and Safety and/or Quality Auditing, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working across the resource industry and related sectors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective and productive relationships with stakeholders, clients, statutory authorities, and business partners.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Curious mindset.
  • Pre‑employment medical clearance (essential requirement).
