About the Opportunity
We are looking for a special kind of person – a St Vincent s kind of person. Someone who puts compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do. As a Personal Care Assistant you will partner with residents to support their daily routine, personal care needs, lifestyle and choices and ensure they feel safe, valued, respected and engaged while working as part of a supportive, dedicated team at St Vincent s Care Services Carina, located just 7 km east of the CBD at Carina.
Responsibilities
- Partner with residents to support daily routine, personal care needs, and lifestyle choices.
- Ensure residents feel safe, valued, respected, and engaged.
- Maintain excellent records using AutumnCare (or similar software).
- Follow care plans and support residents’ rights and responsibilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care or similar qualifications (essential).
- 6 months or more experience in a similar role with residential aged care (highly regarded).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Good understanding of Aged Care and resident rights/responsibilities.
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check under 6 months old.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check may be required.
