Inspirations Paint is Australia’s leading Paint Specialists Franchise Group, servicing both the retail and trade markets. We are growing and always on the lookout for high calibre individuals to join our store teams. The Inspirations Paint Store at Seaton is looking for an enthusiastic casual Paint Sales Assistant.
Relevant personal experience in home improvement projects or within the paint or hardware industries is an advantage.
Job Details
The position is available for immediate start and will include ongoing industry leading training, award wages, and a uniform.
Business hours are 7:00 am – 5:30 pm Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Saturday, and 9:00 am – 4:00 pm Sunday. Applicants need to be flexible with their availability and able to work a variety of hours across weekdays and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Providing an exceptional customer experience to our retail and trade customers
- Tinting & mixing paint
- Following the "Inspirations Way"
- Providing excellent customer service and product knowledge in the areas of paint and protective coatings, while assisting with sales, stock control, and merchandising
- Assisting with any deliveries as required
- Practicing safe and correct manual handling
- Maintaining store presentation, stock management, and housekeeping
- Ensuring Workplace Health & Safety requirements are met
- Frequent heavy lifting and carrying, including some lifting over 23 kg
Experience & Attributes
- Demonstrated customer service with personalised customer focus
- Well presented in appearance and communication
- Ability to contribute and work in a team environment
- Proven sales experience and strong knowledge of paint and associated products
- Approachable, confident and energetic with a pleasant disposition and ability to effectively deal with customer queries and/or complaints
- Attention to detail, initiative, and ability to learn new systems
- Must have a full driver’s licence
- Ability to load and unload vehicles within safety guidelines
- Forklift licence preferred but not necessary
- Honest, reliable, and punctual
