About The Role

The Support Worker plays a vital role in fostering a safe, friendly, and supportive environment for individuals living with disabilities, children, and young people in the care of Allambi Care. Through tailored, person‑centred active support, this role empowers participants and young people—including those with complex needs—to develop daily living skills, engage in community activities, and build their capacity for greater independence and inclusivity.

Your Daily Tasks

  • Build a relationship with the people you are caring for.
  • Provide care to participants, following a routine developed in consultation with the participants and their needs, including personal, medication, and domestic care.
  • Transport participants to and from school, grocery shopping, and appointments.
  • Assist in implementing programs designed for the client’s development.
  • Prepare report writing.

About You

To be successful in the role you will need to meet the following Essential Criteria:

  • Current Working with Children Check (for paid employment).
  • Current NDIS Worker Check.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; Course Code HLTAID011).
  • National Police Check.
  • A current driver’s licence (minimum of a P2).
  • A vehicle that can transport upwards of four people.
  • Comprehensive Car Insurance.
  • Certificate of Completion: NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
  • Ability to work a 7‑day shift roster.
  • Willingness to participate in pre‑employment medical checks.
  • Two professional references.

All prospective staff must consent to their details being entered on to the Residential Care Worker Register before an offer of employment is made.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Disability, Disability Support, or equivalent.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support.
  • Certificate III in Aged Care.
