Campbelltown Private Hospital is a purpose-built private hospital located in Park Central, the ever-growing medical hub of Campbelltown. Our modern facilities include 8 Operating Theatres, 48 Surgical beds, 15 bed Day Surgery Unit and 34 bed Rehabilitation Unit. Responsibilities

  • Assistance with the management of the Health Information Service including all aspects of medical record management and related activities.
  • Timely and accurate clinical coding.
  • Participate in case mix analysis, education & quality activities.
  • Clinical documentation improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with the timely extraction and submission of mandatory data reporting.
  • Participate in audits as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Health Information Management and/or Master of Health Information Management or equivalent.
  • Experience leading and managing staff.
  • Strong clinical coding with the ability to train and mentor coding staff – current 13 th edition.
  • Sound understanding of Codefinder & Turbocoder.
  • Demonstrated experience in the extraction and submission of data to external parties.
  • Strong organisational skills in planning, prioritising and managing workloads.
  • Highly developed problem solving skills that lead to positive outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Knowledge of private sector funding models.
  • Knowledge of WebPAS patient information system.
  • HIMAA Advanced Clinical Coding Certificate and Certification.
  • La Trobe Clinical Coding Audit Certificate.
