FPGA Design Engineer (VHDL) – Aviation Systems

The Role:
As an FPGA Design Engineer, you’ll contribute to the development of high-performance communication and signal processing systems used in aviation applications. This includes working on complex data acquisition, transmission, and processing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement FPGA subsystems using VHDL
- Carry out simulation and verification activities (e.g. Questa, ModelSim)
- Integrate FPGA modules into larger system architectures
- Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams
- Support debugging and troubleshooting of FPGA designs
- Document designs, processes, and test results
- Contribute to technical discussions and industry knowledge sharing
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience with VHDL and FPGA development
- Solid understanding of digital logic, timing constraints & clock domains
- Experience with Intel / Quartus toolchain
- Exposure to digital communication systems or DSP is a plus
- Knowledge of high-speed interfaces (Ethernet, SERDES) is beneficial
- Familiarity with embedded processors (e.g. ARM) is advantageous
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach
