About the role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cook to join our Catering Team on a casual basis. In this role, you will prepare nutritious, well‑balanced meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences, while contributing to a positive and enjoyable dining experience.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals in line with dietary requirements and menu plans
- Ensure food safety standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are established, monitored and maintained to meet current Food Concept guidelines
- Contribute to menu planning and continuous improvement
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation
- Support kitchen operations, including stock control and ordering
- Work collaboratively to ensure timely meal service
About you
- Previous experience as a Cook, minimum 1-2years in an aged care or residential setting
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (mandatory minimum)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Completed Food Safety Supervisor Course (desirable or willing to obtain)
- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
