A well-established engineering organisation with a robust pipeline of work across the water, nuclear, and energy sectors is seeking a senior leader to oversee a crucial area of their design capability. This position places you at the heart of a multi-discipline team, spanning mechanical, electrical, and related engineering fields, engaged in large-scale infrastructure programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-discipline engineering team across several ongoing projects
• Serve as a central link between engineering, delivery teams, and external partners
• Manage workload, resource planning, and overall team capability
• Oversee project progress, risks, and overall performance
• Support technical quality and consistency across deliverables
• Contribute to business development and shape future opportunities
• Drive continuous improvements in engineering processes and delivery

Requirements

• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams on complex projects
• Proven track record managing teams across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines
• Strong understanding of design delivery across multiple specialisms
• Proficient in managing workloads, priorities, and team structures
• Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels
• Background in engineering design within infrastructure, energy, or similar sectors
• Seeking a role with significant influence and ownership at a senior level
• Motivated by long-term project stability and pipeline
• Interested in team development and engineering capability building
• Values hybrid working and flexibility across UK locations

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or similar background required
• Chartered status (or working towards) preferred
