Operational Hours
This role operates Monday to Friday across two rotating shifts: 6:00am–2:00pm and 10:00am–6:00pm.
Day to Day
- Safely handle and process large coal and coke samples.
- Load/unload material from ovens operating at high temperatures.
- Perform physical testing (crushing, sizing, dividing).
- Record and transfer validated test results into systems.
- General site duties and safety incident reporting.
Skills And Attributes
- No prior experience required; full training provided.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Solid numeracy, literacy, and basic computer skills.
- Physically fit; capable of repetitive manual handling in a dusty and hot environment.
- Willingness to learn, wear protective equipment, and meet production deadlines.
Eligibility
To be eligible to work at ALS you must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of the country you are applying for, or either hold or be able to obtain a valid working visa.
