Linux Production Engineer | Sydney | High-Performance Trading Environment
We’re partnering with a leading global quantitative investment firm to hire a Linux Production Engineer to support and evolve a large-scale, high-performance Linux on-prem estate.
This role blends hands-on production support with project-based infrastructure work, partnering closely with engineering and application teams to deliver resilient, automated, and well-monitored platforms.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting and administering Linux-based trading and research systems
- Building, upgrading, and deploying servers across on-prem infrastructure
- Contributing to automation and monitoring initiatives
- Working closely with engineering teams to improve reliability and processes
What we’re looking for
- Hands-on server deployments and lifecycle management
- Python and Bash scripting experience
- Solid understanding of server hardware (AMD/Intel)
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/UDP, LAN/WAN)
- Team-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Exposure to NFS/SAN is beneficial
