We have an active and state-of-the-art Food, Textiles and Hospitality facility with a team of teachers working with students from Years 7 – 12. We are seeking a suitably qualified Teacher Assistant with a passion for organisation, cleanliness and serving with a strong commitment to the aims of an independent Christian school.
This position is Part-Time, Term Time approximately 7.5 hours per week spread over Monday and Tuesday.
Reporting to the Head of Department, you will be responsible for:
- Food and textiles preparation
- Preparing equipment and materials for lessons
- Managing stock control
- Cleaning and maintaining of the food and textiles facility
- Applying HACCP principles including quality control and hazard identification
To be successful, you will have:
- Certificate III in Educational Support or equivalent
- Food Safety Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Valid Working with Children check (Blue Card)
- Familiarity with overlockers and sewing machines
- Demonstrated administrative skills including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
- Proficiency using automated management systems
- Ability to maintain both paper-based and electronic records and filing systems
- An active Christian faith
