The Role

This role is designed for early-career professionals with strong analytical capability, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to learn how systematic insights and bottom-up research come together in modern equity investing.

Working closely with the Portfolio Managers the Graduate Analyst will contribute to idea generation, stock-level research, model development, trading analytics, and execution workflows. The role offers hands‑on exposure to equity markets, financial modelling, alternative datasets, machine‑learning techniques, and portfolio analytics within a rigorous investment process.

Your Background and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in commerce, economics, finance or related field.
  • May have post‑graduate study commenced or planned.
  • 0–1 year relevant experience (internships, graduate programs or placements in investments, markets or finance).
  • Demonstrated interest in equities, market microstructure, and portfolio management.
  • Comfortable performing data analysis, preparing reports and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with BI/analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) advantageous.
  • Basic scripting (e.g., Python/SQL) an advantage.
  • Foundational understanding of the financial services industry and investment management.
  • Awareness of ASX‑listed companies and factors that influence equity prices; willingness to deepen knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of investment approaches (e.g., factor investing) and dealing processes; readiness to learn.
  • Client relationship mindset with the ability to collaborate across teams.
