Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU travel position requiring a current NY RN license, 2 years of recent specialty experience, and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU/SICU)
• Hospital setting caring for critically ill neurological and surgical patients
• Day shifts from 07:00 to 19:00
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Competency testing required for ICU with two attempts to pass
• More than three call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within six weeks of the last call out
• RTO must be requested at the time of application
• Local candidates living in specified counties within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• Applicants may only be considered for one position at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Neuro ICU or SICU
• Current certifications from AHA or RQI required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• U.S. Social Security Number required (no Canadian SIN accepted)
• Medical exemption for flu vaccine must be signed by a licensed professional; personal/religious declinations not accepted
