Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of IR experience, BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification for a Level III trauma teaching hospital.

Responsibilities

• Work in a short-term acute care hospital with a Level III trauma center
• Interventional Radiology unit serving adult patients
• Day shifts (4x10 hours), 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• Expect to float within scope to other like units or sister campus as needed
• Uses Epic for charting and IR-specific equipment
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Must have been gone for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
• RTO (Requested Time Off) up to 4 days is allowed, with a maximum of 1 approved holiday off
• Position cannot accept candidates living within 50 miles of the main campus
• May extend assignment once, then must be gone for 6 months to return (exception for radiology)
• All required modules must be completed pre-start
• Vaccination exemption requests must be submitted promptly to avoid start delays

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• Must pass an advanced EKG exam prior to start
• State or compact radiologic technologist license required if applicable; pending licenses not accepted
• Epic EMR experience required
• Diploma or transcript required as proof of education for compliance
• No background or license hits within the past year
