Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT (MR) certification and at least 2 years of recent MRI experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an MRI department utilizing GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 equipment
• Patient caseload averages approximately 9 patients per shift
• Shifts include Saturday and Sunday 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM and one 12-hour shift between Monday and Friday weekly
• Possible on-call coverage required after midnight
• Never work solo; a Tech Aide or another MRI Technologist will always be present
• Use of Meditech Expanse EMR is highly preferred
• Daily responsibilities include performing MRI scans on a variety of patients
• Mandatory 8-hour orientation provided
• All time off requests must be submitted prior to acceptance and limited to a maximum of 5 days
• Holiday coverage may be required
• Team-based environment with continuous support from other technologists or aides
• Scrubs or dress code requirements not specified
• A supervisory signed reference from within two years and a current MRI skills checklist are required for consideration

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years current MRI experience required
• Active ARRT (MR) certification required
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Massachusetts state license required if applicable
• Experience with GE MRI equipment required
• Meditech Expanse charting experience highly preferred
• Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and take call as needed
• Must have own vehicle
• Cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
