De esa manera es como continuamos logrando cosas extraordinarias en lugares extraordinarios.**Job description:**Job Summary: *The Care and Maintenance Boilermaker will participate in the day to day operation of the Process Plant Maintenance team, including caring for infrastructure and identification of proactive care and maintenance requirements.**Based in the picturesque coastal town of Hopetoun, Western Australia, this is a residential role offering relocation support and company housing.* *This position is available to commence January/February 2026.* Responsibilities: * Perform all plant maintenance tasks in a safe, timely and to a high quality and preventing any rework;* Be a self-starter and able to work with both autonomously and as part of a team;* Demonstrate a commitment to work place safety and the safety of your co-workers;* Be accurate, methodical, practical and safety-conscious when installing and maintaining mechanical equipment;* Compliance to work order attachments and documents such as JHA’s, CSRA’s, SWI’s, etc. This includes the updating of any of these documents to ensure they are kept relevant and reflect best practices;* Ensure compliance with Safety and Environmental Management systems, policies and procedures along with ensuring that all risks have been identified, managed and safe working environment is maintained;* Full compliance to mandatory PPE requirements in all areas of the plant;* Ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained by cleaning up after every task and not leaving any hazards within the work place;* Have the ability to diagnose faults with equipment through observation and deduction;* Have the ability to safely operate a variety of hand and power tools;* Compliance to completion of all pre start checks on mobile equipment/vehicle’s, welders, oxy and acetylene equipment, lifting equipment, electrical equipment, and overhead cranes. This includes the correct documentation to be filled in and delivered to the required location;* Assist in the proactive identification of care and maintenance works required;* Ensure that all completed work orders are closed out with accurate time confirmations;* Be able to stand for sustained periods of time, work at heights or confined spaces;* Perform heavy manual labour safely and effectively;* Perform Care & Maintenance tasks in relation to blasting and painting;* Perform Care & Maintenance tasks in relation to scaffolding;* Ensure that all tools, plant and equipment are kept in good condition, meet required safety standards and are available for use when required; and* Perform any other duties as requested by your supervisor.Qualifications: * A minimum of 3 years working knowledge and experience in a similar role;* Fabrication and/or Welder (coded) trade certificate;* First Aid Certificate;* Hold Current WA driver’s license;* EWP, CN (Crane), Forklift (LF), Telehandler, Rigging and Dogging competencies are desirable but not critical;* Ability to read and interpret drawings;* Basic understanding and ability to use CMMS (Pronto) at Trades Level;* Understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance;* Understanding of both production and maintenance strategies for large-scale, continuous operating mineral processing plants;* Work proficiently in a variety of tasks;* Good verbal and written communication skills;* Familiarity with best practices in Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental procedures and legislation policies; and* Ability to multi-skill, work within a team & autonomously.Visit our website and register for instant job alerts atFollow us for the latest news atIf you are already a First Quantum employee and have access to the First Quantum network, log into First Quantum MINE > Careers to apply internally for this opportunity.If you are an employee without network access, contact your Site Recruiter.We are well-known for our ‘can do’ attitude and specialist technical, project management, engineering, construction and operational skills, which allow us to develop and successfully run complex mines and minerals processing plants.
