Due to recent growth and an increased pipe line of work, I Connect Advisory is seeking a qualified FTTB technician to join our team performing internet installations for major ISPs across residential buildings in Sydney.
This is a great opportunity to join an established organization in the telecommunications space in the Sydney CBD and surrounding suburbs and further your growth in the cabling field.
Responsibilities
- Complete jumpering and testing of customer services at units and at the MDF/IDF room
- Communicate clearly with customers to ensure they are left satisfied and informed
- Present yourself professionally when liaising with building and facilities managers
- Manage tools, materials, and vehicle stock to ensure readiness for daily work
- Ensure jobs are completed safely and complying with ACMA and WHS protocols
- Provide regular updates to the team and project manager on job progress
- Take and record clear photos of incomplete work or work pending completion
Ideal Candidate
- Holds an ACMA Open Cabling License
- Has a current drivers license and reliable vehicle
- Owns suitable testing and hand tools
- 1-2 years experience in FTTB, NBN, Copper/Fibre cabling or similar
- Good verbal and written communication
- Other NBN experience ideal but not essential (FTTC, FTTN, FTTP)
- Ability to troubleshoot copper cabling issues within residential apartment buildings
- Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident
- Availability to operate within the nominated work hours 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday
