About the Role

Are you a highly organised and customer-focused individual with a passion for event coordination? An opportunity exists to join a leading NSW Government agency, contributing to a massive programme of work that is shaping the future of our communities.

Responsibilities

The Events Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a range of activities to support the strategic and operational plan of the Industry Engagement and Development team. You will work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across the Agency to deliver events and proactively engage with stakeholders to identify areas for optimisation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Managing all aspects of event planning, coordination, and operations for Industry Engagement and Development.
  • Delivering initiatives on time and to budget using sound project management techniques.
  • Developing effective communication strategies to ensure timely and accurate information for stakeholders.
  • Managing post‑implementation reviews and reporting on outcomes.
  • Collaborating with SMEs across the Agency to ensure the most effective systems, tools, and resources are utilised.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a proactive individual with proven experience in event management/coordination and high‑level organisational, collaboration, and negotiation skills.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in event management / coordination.
  • Willingness to work outside normal working hours as required.
  • High level written and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of different stakeholders in a customer‑focused manner.

Key Skills/Capabilities

  • Advanced communication skills, including presenting with credibility and translating complex information clearly for diverse audiences.
  • Adept ability to deliver results, commit to customer service, and apply project management principles.
  • Adept ability to think and solve problems, applying critical‑thinking techniques and generating new ideas.
  • A commitment to promoting the value of diversity and inclusion.
