Stirlings, established in 1973, is a privately owned stockholding & processing distributor of Stainless & Performance Steel products.
We are currently looking for someone to join our Laser Processing Estimation Team as a Sales Estimation Manager. This team is specialized in providing customers with package pricing for our CNC Laser & Bandsaw Processing service. Stirlings currently has two state of the art high powered fibre lasers in service, with capability to laser cut up to 150mm thick stainless-steel plate.
With this technology, this role presents an exciting new opportunity for someone with high level sales estimation experience in CNC processing. This is a dynamic role that requires experience in the full sales & customer service cycle from receiving enquiry, to working on a custom solution and presenting in a competitive package.
The role demands not just providing excellent customer service but integrating with a larger team and helping facilitate demanding and complex orders. It exposes team members to all areas of the business and is a wonderful opportunity to support customers, build & develop strong working relationships and contribute to the business growth.
Position responsibilities include:
- Providing detailed quotations to customers utilising Stirlings CNC processing equipment
- Development & maintenance of assigned customers, industries, products & services.
- Full order & contract management – to provide customers with consistent and up to date communication on project.
- Supporting our national sales team with specialist product and project requirements
For this exciting and hands-on role, you will need the following qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of the stainless steel or steel industry would be well-regarded but not essential.
- Advanced knowledge & experience on CNC processing via laser, plasma & waterjet processing.
- Previous experience in sales servicing or within Industrial Wholesale, including industries related to Engineering, Fabrication, Water Treatment, Building, Marine, and Mining, would be advantageous but not essential.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- The ability to work within a team to achieve the best service delivery for our customers.
- A high level of customers service capability & ethic
