About the Role
As a Blast Engineering & Business Development Specialist, you’ll combine blast engineering expertise with client engagement to deliver safe, efficient, and value‑driven outcomes for our mining and quarrying customers.
You’ll be involved in everything from blast design and data analysis to on‑site technical support and business growth initiatives — no two days the same.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and optimise blasting solutions across quarry and mining projects.
- Provide field support and mentoring on advanced blasting equipment.
- Prepare and manage quality documentation — from Blasting Management Plans to survey data.
- Analyse blast performance and deliver actionable insights to clients.
- Partner with customers to identify improvement and growth opportunities.
- Contribute to tenders and proposals with strong technical input.
- Represent Impact Drill & Blast at industry events and build trusted client partnerships.
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Mining Engineering (or related field).
- Licensed Shotfirer with 5+ years’ experience in mining or quarry blasting — or equivalent hands‑on blast engineering experience.
- Proven ability in blast design, vibration control, and explosives operations.
- Strong communicator able to translate technical detail for all audiences.
- Safety‑first mindset and collaborative approach.
- Current Australian manual driver’s licence and ability to pass pre‑employment checks.
