Overview
The Fund Manager is responsible for overseeing the future of assets and management of funds to optimise investment performance over a long-term period. Delivering consistent long-term value and returns for the company and investors. Providing investors access to premium real estate investment opportunities through a carefully curated portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Building the profile of the organization to attract investment ensuring that the investment process is communicated to existing and potential investors.
- Identify and develop new domestic and international investors.
- Client communications; responsible for ongoing liaison with all internal stakeholders in relation to fund performance issues and to stay aware of all issues and their potential impact on fund performance.
- Developing a comprehensive investment strategy annually in response to the client mandates and desires.
- Optimizing the investment performance of the fund and the returns derived from it.
- Meeting and exceeding the targets set out in the fund plan.
- Developing and managing the superior investor relations essential to a sustainable business including ensuring clients’ needs for the fund including risk profiles and return objectives are met and developing enhancements to meet client needs.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable legal, regulatory and statutory obligations.
- Developing and articulating the fund strategy that will deliver target investment performance.
- Monitoring and managing changes or amendments to fund investment policy.
- Directing and monitoring the preparation of fund financial reports.
- Monitoring performance of underlying assets, identifying and understanding issues through liaison with team.
- Fund administration and execution; compliance and regulatory reporting; ensures the fund complies with ASIC, ATO, and trust deed obligations. Manages audit processes and regulatory filings.
Selection Criteria (Qualifications/Skills/Experience)
- Bilingual talent in Mandarin and English.
- Experience as a responsible manager (RM) is highly desirable.
- Significant previous experience in a similar role as a Fund Manager for a business within the property industry.
- High level of market recognition and integrity.
- Excellent understanding of the property fund markets.
- Strong relationship management capability.
- Demonstrable track record raising equity in the Property sector.
- Understanding of the property investment process.
- Strong numeric and statistical skills.
- Extensive knowledge of asset management and property investment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to present confidently and convincingly to a range of audiences.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
