We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support the design and delivery of a new enterprise-wide Program and Project Management and Reporting Tool. This role will play a key part in shaping how project and program information is captured, reported, and used across a large and complex government environment.
You’ll lead the discovery, analysis, and documentation of business requirements to guide the selection and implementation of an off-the-shelf project management and reporting solution.
Your work will involve engaging with a wide range of stakeholders — from project managers to senior executives — to understand current processes, identify improvement opportunities, and define future-state workflows that support a consistent, data‑driven approach to project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research, analysis, and discovery to understand current project management processes, frameworks, and reporting needs.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather and validate business requirements, both functional and non-functional.
- Map current and future-state workflows to inform system design and change planning.
- Develop business requirements documentation, functional specifications, and artefacts to support decision‑making.
- Support the development of a Project Management Plan (PMP) by aligning requirements with delivery scope.
- Facilitate collaboration between technical teams and business users.
- Evaluate internal and external system options and provide recommendations on feasible solutions.
- Produce artefacts such as discovery reports, stakeholder engagement plans, and recommendation papers.
We’re keen to hear from Business Analysts who can demonstrate experience in:
- Business analysis and requirements definition for enterprise system implementations.
- Process mapping and business process improvement.
- Stakeholder engagement and facilitation at multiple organisational levels.
- Developing business and system documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Understanding of system integrations and APIs.
- Applying people‑centred or product‑based design principles.
You’ll be part of a highly capable project management and change function driving consistent, efficient project delivery across an enterprise setting. The project is high‑visibility, with clear purpose — helping the organisation improve how it manages, measures, and reports on its projects and programs.
This role will be offered as an initial 6 month contract + 6 month extension option.
