Environmental Engineer

Tonkin + Taylor is seeking an Environmental Engineer with experience in environmental management in the waste and industrial facilities sector to join our vibrant and growing team. This is a permanent full‑time role in our Southbank (Victoria) office.

We Need Your Skills

• Work with and learn from highly regarded Auditors and Engineers in the industry
• Assist in preparing environmental audits for landfill and other industrial facilities
• Develop environmental management plans such as Risk Management and Monitoring Programs, Leachate, Landfill Gas and Stormwater Management Plans
• Coordinate field works and manage cross‑disciplinary projects at construction sites
• Apply analytical engineering and scientific skills to deliver practical solutions for our clients
• Gain exposure to projects throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific
• Connect with clients and build lasting relationships
• Contribute to winning tenders and proposals
• Be part of a strong culture of people first, and have fun while working hard

Our Preferred Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering or similar
• At least 4 years’ experience in consulting in environmental engineering, landfills, industrial facilities or a similar field
• Interest in developing client relationships
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Curiosity about how things work
• Readiness to accelerate development
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
