About the Role
We have an exciting and diverse opportunity for a Rehabilitation Consultant from an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Rehabilitation Counsellor, or Psychologist discipline to join our growing team on a Contractor basis. You will be assisting individuals to recover from injury and return to work through a client-centered approach, focusing on health and wellbeing. You’ll be managing a portfolio of cases including Workers Compensation, Compulsory Third Party (CTP), and Workplace Health & Safety Assessments.
Responsibilities
- Assisting individuals to recover from injury and return to work through a client-centered approach, focusing on health and wellbeing.
- Managing a portfolio of cases including Workcover WA and CTP claims.
- Undertaking vocational assessments, initial needs assessments and worksite assessments.
- Delivering vocational counselling, facilitating interventions and wellbeing programs.
- Collaborating and liaising with employers, medical and other allied health professionals.
- Identifying barriers preventing clients from returning to work.
- Documenting case notes as part of your reporting, applying clinical judgement to support and guide clients.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of occupational rehabilitation consulting experience.
- Extensive Workcover WA legislative knowledge.
- A university degree in Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Counselling, Psychology, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology.
- AHPRA/ASORC/ESSA accreditation.
- Hold a full driver’s licence and own car.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enjoy working hard and having a good laugh.
