Leading by example, you set the pace for the F&B team in a vibrant, fast-moving environment. You keep service seamless and standards impeccable, while championing those little touches that make a big difference.
Whilst supporting your manager in the daily operation, from stock control, shift coverage, and creating those unforgetting a moments, you orchestrate each service like a well-rehearsed performance, delivering quality that feels effortless and hospitality that feels personal.
About the Venue
Hannah St Hotel is home to five distinct venues operated by The Mulberry Group, each designed to reflect Melbourne’s layered food culture while offering something new. From morning coffee rituals to late-night gatherings, these venues are woven into the rhythm of the hotel and the city beyond.
About You
You’re enthusiastic, skilled, and love sharing your passion for coffee with others. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working collaboratively to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all aspects of F&B outlet operations, including booking management, stock control, POS system updates, reporting, and ensuring opening/closing checklists are completed.
- Drive exceptional guest service by greeting and seating guests promptly, ensuring timely and accurate service, handling complaints effectively, and encouraging feedback for continuous improvement.
- Lead by example with a hands‑on approach, maintain grooming and service standards, provide daily on-the-job training, support onboarding, cross‑training, and assist with recruitment, rostering, and performance management.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and product knowledge; stay updated on menu trends and pairings; and continuously explore new methods to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Foster teamwork within the outlet and across hotel departments, support conferences and events, and keep open communication lines with managers and relevant teams.
- Promote a positive workplace culture, drive team engagement, and ensure an enjoyable and productive environment for both staff and guests.
What You Bring
- Experience working in Melbourne’s hospitality scene or similar.
- Solid understanding of Food & Beverage operations and customer service.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn and grow.
- Attention to detail and pride in delivering a great product.
- Passion for hospitality and sharing knowledge with guests and teammates.
- A passion for customer service and team development.
- Tech‑savvy with POS systems and basic financial reporting.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and evenings.
