About the role
This role will see you joining a large health service focused on meeting the future needs of individuals and families living in Queensland’s West Moreton region. With this region experiencing rapid population growth, the health service is focused on developing a robust hospital and health service including fit‑for‑purpose health and well‑being spaces, interconnected buildings and multidisciplinary health services, along with research, education and community partnerships. The successful applicant will be working in a dedicated Child and Adolescent mental health service offering inpatient, outpatient, community, acute response, mobile youth outreach and consultation liaison services. Primarily you will be working collaboratively with an experienced multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive psychiatric services to patients and their families. In addition to this, you will be working in a consultation liaison capacity to assist mental health professionals and other units regarding child and adolescent assessment and case management; supervising and training Psychiatric Registrars and other medical staff; working closely with families to provide support and education regarding mental illness; and participating in clinical governance by organising peer review audits, monitoring care outcomes, and proactively managing patient feedback.
