Overview
Join to apply for the Advanced Trainee Emergency role at Epworth.
In this minimum 6 month term, based in Melbourne you will be responsible for assessing and treating presentations to the emergency department under supervision from senior doctors.
Responsibilities
- Independently assessing and managing multiple patients under supervision of seniors
- Independently prioritising a set of decisions/tasks/referrals for multiple patients
To be successful in this role
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with patients and colleagues
- Ability to lead by being a positive role model to junior staff
- Able to direct immediate and future learning, informed with reflective practice and role model influences
- Ability to take responsibility for self-directed learning and participating in departmental teaching to further clinical knowledge and skills
- Actively teach junior staff the clinical skills expected of a novice clinician
You will have
- General registration with APHRA
- Valid ACLS/APLS certificates
- TS3/4 trainee with ACEM
