Distribution Center Manager

We are seeking a Distribution Center Manager in a high visibility hands-on role responsible for achieving and maintaining a high level of service to customers, including on-time error-free shipments, timely and accurate responses to inquiries, and a high level of product availability. You will direct and control all distribution center personnel, facilities, budgets, and activities to meet/exceed P&L and productivity metrics.


Our ideal candidate has experience in Warehouse / Operations management with measurable results and proven ability to lead and develop the organization through direct report managers.

Job duties:


  • Direct and manage overall performance for all distribution center personnel and activities to ensure efficient procurement and distribution of product, meeting/exceeding P&L and productivity objectives, and bottom line results
  • Staff the organization with the right people
  • Establish Distribution Center and individual growth / performance goals.
  • Hire, train, and develop new and veteran managers and associates directly and through others. Lead by example; coach
  • Champion development of leadership competencies that drive individual and team goals
  • Direct, monitor, advise, and assist center management on receiving, order processing, expediting, inventory management, vendor relations, and customer service processes and transactions.
  • Establish areas of responsibility for Center management. Anticipate or investigate problems and take corrective action
  • Partner with senior management and associates to monitor and track performance results
  • Manage assets, inventory and receivables, expenses




  • 5+ years warehouse / operations management
  • Proven leadership
  • Use of proper English grammar, written and verbal
  • Team lead / coaching experience in a warehouse setting
  • Good understanding of financial and accounting concepts
  • Computer proficiency
  • Bachelor's Degree or equvilent work experience




  • Industrial sales / distribution experience
  • Distribution center experience, including P&L and Operations
  • Proven supervisory experience, including management of diverse teams
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with ISO & Quality Management principles
