Finance Manager
A leading Australian infrastructure business is looking for a Finance Manager to join immediately for a 4 month contract.
This role suits a hands‑on Finance Manager who is comfortable owning technical outcomes, partnering with senior stakeholders, and leading the IFRS 16 process through year end. You’ll sit close to the CFO and CEO and act as the go‑to person for lease accounting, acquisitions support and audit engagement.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Own the end‑to‑end IFRS 16 process across multiple entities
- Review models, prepare journals and lead movement analysis and reporting
- Oversee lease data integrity across finance and operational systems
- Lead judgement papers, assumptions and accounting position papers
- Support acquisition accounting and integration from a finance perspective
- Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and financial statement preparation
- Provide broader technical and year‑end support to the finance leadership team
What we're looking for:
- CA qualified with strong experience at Finance Manager or Senior Manager level
- Deep, practical IFRS 16 and lease accounting experience
- Confident working across complex, multi‑entity environments
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to review and challenge outputs
- Comfortable partnering with senior leaders and non‑finance stakeholders
- Able to step in quickly and take ownership without heavy handholding
