What We’re Looking For
As a Customer Service Officer, you’ll act as the first point of contact for enquiries, administering billing and metering processes, and providing assistance during outages and emergencies. In addition, the role supports administrative, financial, and community engagement activities, contributing to the smooth operation of regional services.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to our regional customers via phone, face to face and digital channels, ensuring timely and professional support.
- Manage customers’ needs effectively, including identification and referral for financial hardship, family and domestic violence, concessions, and other living pressures.
- Undertake reception duties, including front counter, facilitate guest sign ins and answer incoming calls to the depot.
- Provide faults dispatch support to the Horizon Power Control Centre during emergencies.
- Support the leadership team with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander engagements, including regular visits to communities to update customer details, in line with our Aboriginal Engagement Strategy and Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
- Travel within the region on a short-duration basis as required.
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated experience in customer services role.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage conflict.
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Basic financial management skills.
- Experience working in a utility or government customer services role (would be highly regarded).
