Pay Range

A$110,000.00/yr – A$115,000.00/yr (actual pay will be based on skills and experience – discuss with recruiter)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate early with Product, Engineering and Design to clarify requirements, assess risks and shape test approaches that prevent defects.
  • Plan and execute functional and exploratory testing across platforms and devices.
  • Contribute to scalable automation and support regression confidence.
  • Participate in team ceremonies, pairing and discussions to expand quality thinking.
  • Raise clear defects, share insights and champion quality thinking across the squad.
  • Assist in plan, design and execution of functional, exploratory, regression, and automation testing.
  • Build and maintain automation tests in JavaScript‑based frameworks (Cypress, Playwright) under senior guidance, ensuring overall suite scalability.
  • Promote collaborative testing practices (pair testing, desk checks, bug bashes).
  • Execute mobile testing, considering device behaviours, performance and UX differences.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience testing complex, large‑scale software using best‑practice QA methodologies.
  • Experience with shift‑left and shared‑quality practices (testing during refinement, pairing, story kick‑offs).
  • Understanding of QA processes including BDD, manual test techniques, test plan writing and the Testing Pyramid.
  • Ability to develop or maintain automation tests in JavaScript‑based frameworks (Cypress, Playwright).
  • Working knowledge of API testing (REST/GraphQL), schema validation and tools like Postman or Playwright API.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines and tooling such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience testing native mobile applications (iOS/Android), including device‑based exploratory testing.
