Position Overview
We wish to complement our existing team with a Safety Manager for our growing West Region Delivery project team within our Fulton Hogan Utilities business. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive your career further with excellent employee benefits and pathways for further growth.
Responsibilities
- Providing support, coordination and advice of health and safety practices, systems and procedures including coaching and support to stakeholders across the sites.
- Providing technical input to delivery, ensuring that legal and contractual obligations / risks are identified, controlled and communicated appropriately.
- Maintaining and implementing the WHS policy, management plans, systems and procedures.
- Assist with engagement with client representatives, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
- Conducting inductions, toolbox talks, and deliver training sessions.
- Conducting regular site inspections, reviews and audits to schedule.
- Assist in incident reporting and investigation.
Qualifications
- Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Relevant experience in the construction/utilities industry.
- ICAM Lead Investigator is highly desirable.
- Current First Aid certificate.
- Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to engage, coach and foster relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to interpret project related documents, preparing reports and monitoring compliance documentation.
- Affinity for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Knowledge of risk assessments and monitoring of risk controls.
