Job Description Summary


The Regional Operations Manager, reporting to the Vice President & General Manager, will be responsible for the overall operational performance of eight manufacturing sites producing dry mix and masonry/hardscape products for Anchor, an Oldcastle Company. This person will work with the VP/GM to establish and maintain business objectives, coordinate / organize policies and continue to set expectations and objectives for both short and long term operational and safety plans for growth in the region.


  • Ensure excellence in all site fundamentals relating to Safety, Quality, Housekeeping, Productivity and Maintenance.
  • Directs and Oversees the Organization’s Manufacturing Processes. 
  • Manufacturing metrics / variances, best practices, budgeting, forecasting, procedure manuals and business correspondence.
  • Accountable for goals and the financial components of all operations.
  • Continued personnel development and recruiting designed to create a strong team with bench strength.
  • Direct and monitor the performance of direct reports in accordance to business plan and strategy.
  • Develop Capital Improvement projects, conduct feasibility studies, flowcharts and layouts; specifics new equipment and oversees installation of same and/or construction of new buildings or equipment for all plants. 
  • Inventory management relating to both Finished Goods and Raw Materials.
  • Work with sales team to develop and test new products at the manufacturing facilities.
  • Work with customer service support and coordinate policy / procedures involving day to day business transactions.
  • Operate a business with honesty, integrity and professionalism at all times and ensure compliance with all local and federal environmental regulations.




  • Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent of ten years of progressive related industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Technical manufacturing knowledge and understanding of the Concrete Products industry.
  • Process improvement understanding with successful prior implementations (OEE, 6 Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc).
  • Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced Calculus, Modern Algebra, and Advanced Statistical Theory.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. 
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills while maintaining and developing a team atmosphere and commitment to Safety.
  • Able to apply reasoning variables required to oversee the Operations of a multi-million dollar business.
  • Strong skills and knowledge of Manufacturing, Transportation, Management and Customer Service.
  • Strong negotiating skills, problem resolution and prior standard cost P & L experience is required.
  • Demonstrate the ability to delegate, train, motivate and hold employees accountable.
  • Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills and effectively present information to top management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to relate with customers, vendors and other levels of the organization effectively.
  • Excellent computer skills with abilities in Windows environment and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
