Manager, Security Systems

Overview

The Manager, Security Systems will be responsible for maintaining familiarity with all of FlightSafety's network and endpoint based security technologies.  A primary focus of this position will be working with the Information Security team, Operations Team and the responsible Business Units to maintain FlightSafety's network and endpoint security software.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee firewall environment and underlying systems.
  • Primary contact for FlightSafety's Incident Response team.
  • Monitors alerts from FlightSafety's Security software to identify attacks at the network, desktop and data stored by FlightSafety.
  • Primary contact for FlightSafety's Incident Response team.
  • Monitors alerts from FlightSafety's DLP systems and other security systems as assigned.
  • Oversee for review, maintenance, upgrade and installation of endpoint security software technologies
  • Familiar with all FlightSafety network and endpoint security technologies
  • Perform assessment and recommendation of new security technologies
  • Assists with the review, maintenance, upgrade and installation of endpoint security software technologies
  • Coordinates rebuild of devices confirmed to have been infected by viruses/malware.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support, after hours and weekend work as needed
  • Document standard network security hardware/software builds
  • Complete other tasks as required

Experience, Education and Skills

  • 4+ years in information security
  • Security+ Certification
  • One or more of the following certifications: Certified Ethical Hacker, GIAC Intrusion Analyst, GIAC Enterprise Defender, GIAC Penetration Tester
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience
  • Excellent understanding of network and endpoint security technologies
  • Excellent understanding of Incident Response techniques
  • Basic knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and the associated network protocols and concepts
  • Vulnerability management and scanning technology
  • Centralized log management
