The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for the sales, service, and relationship building for Cook Compression's Domestic Aftermarket (AM) accounts in the Mid-West Region. This position will oversee all aspects of the Aftermarket business from sales to delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for increasing the revenue stream from refineries, pipelines, process and chemical plants, and industrial accounts in the Mid-West.
  • Develop and maintain a personal relationship with key individuals at After Market (AM) accounts
  • Field troubleshoot product problems, pick up parts and deliver same to customer as needed
  • Responsible for managing monthly market, performance, trends, and competitive reports
  • Responsible to communicate effectively to management all market and competitive intelligence.
  • Primary contact for AM contract implementation of local accounts.
  • Responsible for overall project management of AM accounts; including sales projects, engineering projects, scheduling projects, etc.
  • Includes managing special project launch to meet specific customer requirements including new product implementations, etc.
  • Responsible for managing training programs, both sales and product
  • Responsible for identifying and growing sales to the current AM accounts through additional market share and developing new business from new accounts.
  • Support the current multi-phased strategies throughout the business to form a single, cohesive strategy for the AM business to move forward
  • Track, monitor, and trend the AM business levels to forecast coming needs and trends within each account.
  • Responsible for Sales Safety Management including Safety Moments for all meetings
  • Responsible for reporting and accounting for all travel expense

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Products
  • Be able to prepare and present to all levels of management
  • Work and communicate effectively within a high performance culture
  • Present self in a professional manner to represent the company well
  • A valid driver’s license with a good driving record

Required Experience:

  • BA or BS in Engineering, Management, Business, or related field, or an equivalent in years of experience with 3-5 years’ experience in technical sales account management role.
  • Pipeline, Chemical facility and Refinery customer experience and reciprocating compressor knowledge is extremely helpful.
