Job Purpose:

 

The Global Risk Strategy & Reporting Senior Lead will be part of the Information Risk and Governance team which will be responsible for evaluating and understanding the risks to information assets. This role will also primarily be responsible for driving the information risk strategy globally with the goal of reducing information risk to Mars assets. This role will assume the responsibilities of maintaining the global risk register system as well as all processes related to the risk lifecycle.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and maintain an information risk management program based on multiple streams of incoming data such as submitted risk forms, security and architecture assessments, incidents, exception requests and threat intelligence.
  • Global point of contact for Information Risk Management for Mars.
  • Administrator of Service Now risk module.
  • Advocate of risk management processes and framework by driving participation in information risk management processes to create a more risk-aware culture at Mars.
  • Responsible for designing and creating information risk corporate policies, working with the appropriate teams to align these policies with legal, P&O, and other functions as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain risk metrics for corporate/executive level risk reporting and analyses.
  • Lead the MIS Risk Solution Group and Governance Group meetings.
  • Partner with Awareness team to build “risk management awareness” materials for key stakeholders enrollment in risk based decision-making.
  • Create and lead a cyber value at risk (VAR) approach to determine the financial impact of potential information security breaches/data loss/system impacts for Mars.
  • Collaborate with other Mars risk teams on best practices and standards in the field of risk management expertise

 

Context and Scope:

 

  • Have strong analytical skills and deep security subject matter expertise across platforms.
  • Exercise critical thinking in identifying external trends in information security threats and correlating to internal activity.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across several teams within the organization to get security embedded into our solutions for the business.
  • Possess deep security expertise to be credible to organization when making recommendations and driving change.
  • Experience with vulnerability management, data privacy, and data protection.
  • Must be comfortable around senior management and be able to navigate the organization.

 

Job Specifications/Qualifications:

 

Education & Professional Qualification:

 

  • University degree (engineering/IT/computer science) or equivalent work experience

 

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Minimum of 7+ years in several security functional areas
  • Information risk governance and associated experience
  • Experience using risk based/cyber security frameworks, such as NIST
  • Experience building and managing relationships with senior level stakeholders

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 25% travel, with multiple opportunities to travel globally
