Position Summary

Performs maintenance and repair to factory and warehouse systems and equipment.

Specific Responsibilities

* Performs routine and periodic maintenance of machines and equipment throughout the company.
* Repairs machines and equipment throughout the company
* Works with production engineer and facilities manager to trouble shoot maintenance issues.
* Occasionally performs carpentry duties necessary to construct, maintain, and repair woodwork and displays to building.
* Provide support for general housekeeping, facility maintenance, and preventive maintenance of fire extinguishers, and other miscellaneous general warehouse equipment.
* Work with maintenance staff to maintain a safe and functional work environment
* Other tasks as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* Three or more years experience with a combination of the following skills;

ü General mechanical ability and demonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems.

ü Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems.

ü Basic knowledge of industrial electricity.

ü Ability to read and understand blueprints and related specifications and codes on written materials.

ü Knowledge of finish carpentry and construction.

ü Understanding of plumbing, and HVAC.

ü Welding

* Prior experience with pumps and water/wastewater treatment systems preferred.
* Limited Maintenance Electrician's license a plus.
* Prior experience with maintenance scheduling.
* Demonstrated ability to safely use basic hand and power tools, and forklift
* Basic level proficiency in general computer skills and use of MS Office Products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Must possess a valid driver's license
* A methodical approach to solving problems
* Moderate levels of English reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.
* Moderate levels of active listening, critical thinking, learning, coordination, instructing, service orientation, installation, time management, and organization.
* Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and be a fast learner
* May require overtime and weekend work, depending on the needs of the business.

Physical Demands:

* While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to constantly stand, walk, bend, climb, talk and hear. The associate must be able to frequently move, lift or carry heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds, intermittently up to 75lbs. Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and color vision.

Work Conditions:

* Work is regularly performed in a manufacturing setting. There may be exposure to flying particles and airborne particles, chemicals, fumes, flammable materials, dirt, grease, and electrical equipment (Personal Protective Equipment provided). Will work near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to humid, hot, or cold conditions as well as exposure to high noise levels.
