Principal Business Consultant

 

About this role:

The Principal Business Consultant will support the Field Clinical team and Direct Selling team in identifying waste, problem solving, supporting solution development as well as deployment.  This role will be embedded within the divisional field clinical and sales team taking strategic and daily work direction from that divisional team. 

The improvements that they will support will focus on reducing non-value-added time that interfere with the field clinical and direct selling team’s primary goal of delivering patient care, growing the business and winning for BSC. Additionally, the Principal Business Consultant will drive and execute pan-divisional projects and initiatives as prioritized by the business where alignment and business benefit is determined by the divisional leadership team.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Work directly with Divisional Sales Leadership Team to understand their vision and deliver the direct selling continuous improvement strategy
  • Partner with Sales Leaders, TMs and Field Clinical team members to shadow, learn, listen and support all waste elimination activities
  • Facilitate kaizen events and other workshops to target key improvements and provide instant offense when necessary to drive strategic business priorities
  • Manage various projects with teams to drive business outcomes
  • Support problem solving and resolution to roadblocks
  • Build a strong pipeline of value improvement projects to driver patient care and grow the business

 

What we’re looking for in you:

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/BA Degree in related field and/or equivalent experience.  MBA preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial/consultant mindset.
  • Ability to build enthusiasm for change.
  • 5+ years of Process Improvement / Lean related experience.
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills
  • Proven results applying lean in enterprise-wide and transactional environments.
  • Prior Med Device Sales or Field Clinical Experience is preferred though not required
  • Travel requirements 30-35%
