Pharmacy Support Clerk - FT- Union City

Assist pharmacy leadership in maintaining pharmacy records and compliance with Drug Enforcement Agency, Board of Pharmacy, and other regulatory agencies and requirements.

 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Works with pharmacy staff to maintain accurate and up-to-date prescription records.
  • Maintains controlled substances logs within pharmacy computer systems.
  • Responsible for retrieval of all narcotic kit and emergency supply prescriptions.
  • Prepares and verifies accuracy of audit reports and prescription manifests logs.
  • Maintains physician database and monitors and updates all physician profiles.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year’s previous pharmacy technician and LTC experience preferred.
  • Required: Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and metric system; ability to operate a computer. 
  • Licenses/Certifications: As required by state regulations and business needs
  • Required: Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, customer service, written and oral communication
  • Must be available to work 1:00pm-9:30pm (including weekends/holidays), and an occasional off-shift to support a 24/7 pharmacy. Shift Premium is available.
