Real World Evidence Analytics Lead (Princeton, NJ)

This role will be aligned with ZS R&D Excellence Practice Area supporting our business consulting and analytics services across multiple clients

DECISION ANALYTICS MANAGER/ Real World Evidence Analytics Lead


  • Establish and maintain statistical/database programming standards of excellence for real-world evidence studies that are intended for insight generation, external publication and communication;
  • Oversee more junior statisticians and/or overseeing their work in the context of projects. This person will also perform urgent analyses that are needed with short turnaround time;
  • Responsible for executing statistical analysis plans and conducting programming and data quality checks to generate and report real-world evidence about disease, health service utilization and the effects of medical products through the analysis of healthcare data;
  • Ensure high-level technical, scientific and methodological expertise in statistics, health economics and outcomes research and/or epidemiology;
  • Advise on appropriate advanced statistical modeling and machine learning approaches to answering key research questions.


  • PhD in statistics, biostatistics with in-depth knowledge of multivariable models and survival analyses
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience work as statistician in life science
  • Strong knowledge in fundamental statistical concepts and methods and familiarity with techniques such as development of predictive equations, survival analysis (including parametric methods), longitudinal data analysis, meta-analysis, mixed treatment comparison, and other hierarchical analysis techniques etc. 
  • In depth experience of statistical methods for analyzing of clinical trial and health-related data as well as retrospective databases
  • In-depth knowledge of SAS, R or Python is essential
  • Experience of observational data and/or registries is essential
  • Knowledge of data management methods to deal with high volumes of data is essential
  • Knowledge of Bayesian statistics and clinical trial data design/analysis would be a plus
  • Experience in health economics and/or epidemiology
  • Experience in Project managing and client facing interactions
  • Experience with leadership of a team of statisticians/programmers is essential
