ROLE SYNOPSIS

 

The Program Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, resource identification, status reporting, and stability of single/multi-site initiatives. The primary roles and responsibilities will include the planning, development, organization, and maintenance of the project goals, timelines and resource plans, preparation of presentations, project documentation and resource plans, status updates, and other communication tools, and leading the overall program execution along with the management and oversight of financial activities related to the project.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Manage day to day responsibilities of multiple project teams by creating complete capital and execution plans, defined success criteria, budget plans and plant readiness plans.  The program manager has responsibility to ensure that project execution remains on track and balances the needs of the project along with the needs for production and/or the customer base.

 

  1. Develop and execute tactical plans to achieve business results and provide feedback and input on strategy.
  2. Monitor processes and provide reports on progress and achievement of business/project objectives using Integrated Master Schedules to identify and manage the critical paths (capacity, capability, etc.) for all projects and requirements.  Track and communicate key project metrics and milestones to all team members and stakeholders.
  3. Optimize resources allocation and utilization to accomplish project objectives efficiently and on time.  Ensure schedules are resource loaded to drive accountability.  Provide visibility and resolution of potential resource conflicts between projects.
  4. Work with Stakeholders to coordinate and prioritize allocations of resources to projects
  5. Enable effective change management practices
  6. This particular role is responsible for leading the U.S. Plant modernization program:
  • Monitor critical resource allocations and facilitate the resolution of critical resource constraints. ​
  • Manage the resource identification, allocation to modernization projects and open availability. ​
  • Leads regular project reviews – communicates status of projects, risks and actively exercises mitigation plans.
  • Lead process and procedure development related to critical modernization to facilitate a standardized approach across the organization.
  • Conduct proactive and comprehensive risk management to ensure risks are identified, impacts are known and communicated and mitigations are planned into the project schedule. Collaborate with Project Managers in other areas to create a community of practice, leverage standardization and drive positive development within the function.
  • Execute technology & AME defined project goals to enable the modernization of regional facilities to achieve the overall cost targets and timing outlined in the project scope.
  • Drive integration of manufacturing equipment with SAP, MII and other plant IT solutions.

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities and the ability to manage simultaneous projects is a must
  • PMP Certification from PMI and/or other Project Management Training is desired
  • Lean Green Belt Certifications (VSM, RCA, FMEA, and/or QFD) preferred
  • Must be willing to travel 20-50% globally
  • Must be U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
