Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to sell business services to existing and prospective customers using an outbound calling approach. The position does not have an assigned account base but may be assigned to a territory or specific market.

Job Responsibilities

  • Sells services to existing and prospective customers as assigned.
  • Works with business unit leaders on the negotiation of pricing, terms and conditions and other key agreement components.  
  • Manages the sales engagement from initial contact through to the agreement signing and transition to the implementation staff. 
  • Qualifies accounts as needed to determine sales opportunities and identify additional contacts/buyers. If an opportunity is identified for another sales area, takes appropriate action to forward the lead. 
  • Organizes and manages sales leads to capitalize on selling opportunities and ensure all leads are contacted based on the sales cycle criteria. 
  • Services all customers, internal and external, in a professional manner. Resolves customer service problems to the mutual satisfaction of both the company and the customer. 
  • Accurately completes and processes documentation related to customer transactions. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 



  • External:  2+ years of sales experience, preferably telephone sales in a business-to-business environment. Experience selling intangible services preferred.
  • Internal:  Minimum of 18 months of JJKA sales experience.


  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sales or Business preferred

  • Ability to present and sell intangible solutions for customers.
  • Business development skills and ability to utilize a consultative sales approach.
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex regulatory/industry information.
  • Ability to manage sales process independently or in collaboration with field sales associates.
  • Ability to overcome objections and deal effectively with rejection, while remaining personable to both internal and external customers.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident, assertive and goal oriented.


Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to offsite offices, customer sites and/or industry and training events may also be required.
