Pharmacy Technician (Customer Service)

Essential Functions:

  • Makes out-bound calls to facilities with recorded high volumes of discharge to secure schedule of discharges.
  • Uses script to inquire gather pertinent facts in order to discharge patient with a proper day supply of prescription medications.
  • Expected to make contact with all assigned facilities on the frequency given by supervisor.
  • Expected to convert contacts with assigned facilities to successful DischargeRx transactions. 
  • Assess if resident is good candidate for DischargeRx program
  • Verifies patient benefit and insurance information
  • Inputs data into the proper pharmacy electronic platform in real time to order to generate proper supply of meds and billing transactions
  • Works with Pharmacy staff to resolve customer concerns and issues during the discharge process
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
  • Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.


    Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Learning Experience:

  • Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Desired: Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree


Work Experience:

  • Required: 1+  year call center or retail pharmacy experience
  • Desired: Previous experience in healthcare



  • Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician
  • Desired: Nationally certified pharmacy technician
