RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Complete all tasks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Work toward and acquire the defined skills necessary to advance in the company's Skill Based Pay system
  • Operate Kiefel production lines
  • Perform maintenance on production line when needed and assist in the product changeover process
  • Manage technical operation of equipment; make decisions when necessary
  • Actively support the team through commitment to Quality, Service, Cost, and Safety
  • Continuously troubleshoot and resolve line issues to minimize downtime
  • Actively participate in meetings; team, production, goal setting
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of organization

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

  • Minimum of two (2) years manufacturing experience; machine operation and technical troubleshooting experience preferred
  • Previous experience with 5S and Continuous Improvement efforts preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to complete basic maintenance responsibilities and troubleshooting
  • Basic computer skills such as word processing, spreadsheet and business/enterprise resource planning software
  • A basic understanding and application of TPI tools preferred
  • Effective communication skills with ability to give and receive feedback to resolve conflict situations
  • Previous experience working 12 hour shifts, specifically night shift, preferred

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Must possess High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be eligible to legally work in the United States
  • Must be able to stand for 12 hour shift
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. and carry on occasion, and push or pull 400-500 lbs. with assistance from hand truck
  • Ability to work efficiently and contribute to a climate of continuous improvement
  • Must be detail oriented, and able to spot defects or errors in all formats
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with team members
  • Availability to work 12 hour night shift long term
