As a DRAM I/O engineer you will be responsible for helping to design, analyze, and optimize Micron’s current and future high speed I/O interface solutions.

You will be expected to use a combination of silicon and system analysis, simulation, and collaboration with Signal Integrity & Design teams to develop robust solutions.


Responsibilities and Tasks:


  • Help define, validate, and create current and future I/O circuit solutions.
  • Steer future product development requirements working with all other engineering teams to developing future specification on our high-speed product lines.
  • Drive sim2silicon alignment with emphasis on debugging and finding root cause to ensure future products do not repeat known issues.
  • Ensure current and future I/O circuits silicon performance meets all manufacturing and design requirements.
  • Developing new strategies to enable more efficient and effective validation of I/O circuits
  • Help develop new circuit solutions planned on future products through a mix of simulation and evaluations of current silicon/platform performance.


Preferred Skillsets:


  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher (Required) in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of experience in Design, Product Engineering, or Signal Integrity focus on high speed I/O
  • Experience with high speed I/O circuit design and/or debugging
  • Emphasis on Signal Integrity analysis a plus
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills with ability to convey complex technical concepts to peers and management
  • Self-starter with ability to work in groups or as individual
  • Experience with Automated Test Equipment (Advantest, BERT…) a plus
  • Strong DFT/DFM background
  • Experience with shell scripts and statistical data analysis methods
  • HSPICE/FINESIM/Fullchip/verilog simulation experience a plus
